Seni di Labuan

Last sunday a group of us ( Cikgu Khalid and Md Nor) have the opportunity to attend the 25th Anniversary of Labuan as wilayah persekutuan. My heart and congratulation goes to azizie, tony , abal and their spouses (the ex usm art graduate living in Labuan) when they single handedly organise a superb art exhibition and workshop that Labuan have ever seen. Even though the no of art not as many as the previous exhibition but the works this time have some focus especially the theme corncerning the marine life and the sea activities which is related to Labuan as a tourist centre for marine sport in this region. The were other activities such as boating, rock concert and etc,etc. We manage to discover few good budding artist at the exhibition esp. the graffitti art . which I think can be promoted for future exhibition. We hope that there will be more good exhibition in the near future around this region may be KK, Kuching, Kalimantan and Brunei. The intresting thing happen during the exhibition when our dear friend Dr. Mohd Najib Dawa the DG of National Art Gallery of Malaysia officiating the opening the Labuan Art Exhibition, Congratulation to Labuan and also to Dr Najib for yr service to the ART.
